Sara is a professional actor, director, and choreographer from the Cleveland area. She graduated from Case Western Reserve University, where she earned her BA in Theatre Arts and minored in creative writing and modern dance. In addition to her training at CWRU, she spent a semester abroad at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England.
Sara was recently seen onstage in BR'ER COTTON at Cleveland Public Theatre, CITY OF ANGELS at Beck Center for the Arts, and THE NIGHT THOREAU SPENT IN JAIL at Ensemble Theatre.
Previous directing credits at the Academy include YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, DNA, and YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN. Professionally, she has served as assistant director for BODY AWARENESS at Beck Center for the Arts and THE LITTLE PRINCE and ANGELS IN AMERICA PARTS 1 & 2 at Ensemble Theatre. While at CWRU, Sara directed Anton Chekhov's THE CHERRY ORCHARD and URINETOWN: THE MUSICAL.
Beginning with her early dance training and continuing on through all levels of her theatre education, Sara’s passion lives in the exploration of physical storytelling. Sara is a proud alumna of The Academy and is honored to give back to the program that set her on her path to a career in theatre.
