Bio

Administrative Coordinator, Resident Fight Choreographer

Dusten is an award-winning fight choreographer, educator and director based out of Northeast Ohio.  In addition to his work as Administrative Coordinator for the Academy, Dusten has staged and choreographed violence for more than fifty film and stage productions.  His freelance work includes: Great Lakes Theatre, Cleveland Public Theatre, Convergence-Continuum, Playwrights Local, Cleveland Shakespeare Festival, Baldwin Wallace University, Ashland University, St. Bonaventure NY. among others.   

His work has been recognized by the Kennedy Center's American College Theatre Festival, IMDB, Cool Cleveland and Scene Magazine.  Dusten earned his BA from Ashland University and is an Advanced Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors.  See Dusten's Approach to Stage Combat.

In addition to his work at the Academy as a teacher, director, fight choreographer and coordinator, he serves as resident fight choreographer and adjunct professor of stage combat for Baldwin Wallace University.  Dustin serves as Artistic Director for the Chagrin Falls Summer Shakespeare in the Park, which holds free performances of Shakespeare's plays by the river.
